WHAT
IS THE SITE BUILDING PROCESS?
Concept: This
first step is a discussion of goals and expectations for your site.
Who are your users? What information do you want to
make available to them? How big a site do you want and need? If
you haven't already got a domain name and hosting arrangement, we'll
help you do that.
Site Map: Good communication is critical to making sure you
get what you want, and a site map is the key. The creation of a
site map helps us to be sure that everything you want is included,
to see how all the pages interrelate, and to determine what technologies
are required to make everything work. Up-front organization saves
time and money, and prevents frustrating miscommunication.
Content: Your site needs to say the right thing and present
the right images to get your point across. We can help you with
original content, or work with previously existing text and images.
Design: Next we'll put a "face" on your site, assembling
graphics, photography and navigation ideas to make your site look
great. During this part of the process, we'll make available a viewable
test site in order to give you plenty of opportunity for review
and input. All sites are custom; no boilerplate templates are ever
used.
Execution, Testing and Launch: All sites are backed up redundantly
to prevent loss. Before launch we'll test your site for programming
bugs, broken links, spelling errors, etc. Code is validated and
all pages have META tags to optimize indexing by search engines.
Nothing will be allowed to detract from the professionalism and
performance of your site.
